LMT30507 Certificate III in Clothing Production

Vet in School mix mode duration: 1 day a week for 18 months

This qualification is part of the Textiles, Clothing and Footwear Training Package. It is designed for people who want to acquire a range of technical and theoretical skills needed to work in a production oriented environment within the clothing and fashion industry. Students will learn about different areas of the clothing and fashion industry, and production processes such as designing, laying, cutting, machining, garment construction and finishing, identifying and selecting fabrics, and introductory design theory and pattern modification. This program provides students with the skills to be an Apparel Cutter, Dressmaker, General Clothing Tradesperson, Patternmaker or Tailor and Fashion designer. 50% of the course can be direct credit toward 50% of the course can be direct credited toward LMT50307 Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Technology.
